Welcome! Thank you for your courage to seek support at this time in your life. I am honored to be of assistance to you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Luella LaRoche. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received a Master’s degree from Barry University with specializations in Mental Health Counseling, and Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling and Therapy. My experience includes a wide range of issues from assisting individuals with general life transitions, coping with life's stressors, mood disorders, anxiety issues, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. In addition, I have had the pleasure of working with couples and families to explore how to improve relationships and restore effective functioning. Therapy can be an effective resource to facilitate relationship growth. It takes courage to move towards addressing issues in relationships. I am ready to assist you through that journey.
I utilize an eclectic approach to couples therapy which includes cognitive behavioral therapy to increase one's insight into thought processes and how those thoughts affect actions. The Gottman Method, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, may be employed to establish meaningful gains. Role play scenarios and behavioral rehearsals may be effective tools to incorporate in the therapy practice. The techniques used will be uniquely applied for your specialized needs.
As a Christian, I support and promote faith based coping strategies in accordance with your beliefs and cultural perspectives. Thank you for requesting assistance to support you during this time. Please allow me to assist you with your concerns. Let us make this journey together.
