About Me

Hello! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have had extensive experience with over 9 years working with various populations, including adults, adolescents, and children. My training in various modalities allows the ability to adjust in meeting my clients' individual and couples’ needs. In couples therapy, I aim to provide a warm, safe, and supportive environment for clients to relax and safely explore their concerns or issues. I am a firm believer that no 'one size fits all', so as we unfold your story and what you as an individual and a couple would like to focus on, we will use a team approach to see what best fits your goals. You will find that I believe in peeling away the layers and masks that people adopt because of life experiences by utilizing the power of vulnerability, compassion, and honesty. We will collaborate and develop strategies that increase and strengthen awareness and insight to root issues or problems; build and/or improve communication skills, conflict-resolution skills, empathy/respect, and connection.
I have had the privilege of working with clients who have concerns surrounding substance use/addiction, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, relationships, familial stressors, parenting, attachment issues, adoption, grief and loss, and trauma. I have a great passion and skill for working with those who have experienced attachment issues and complex trauma. I am a EMDR certified and have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAGALA), the Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, Sand Play Therapy, dual disorders, domestic violence, and addiction.
In and out of therapy, I believe in breaking down barriers to build authenticity. So a bit about me: I am half Filipino/Caucasian and love spending time with my family and our ever energetic chocolate lab, traveling, and enjoying a good Netflix binge. While therapy can often be vulnerable and sometimes challenging, it often is highly rewarding as you are open to trusting the process. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey.

It has only been a month, but Lisa has been a wonderful resource for my partner and me. I like that she listens and stimulates conversation between us, gives us clear goals, especially, that she has helped provides us new tools and skills that help us understand how to break down and work on areas we want to heal or improve on.
