My name is Lindsay and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in professional mental health counseling. I earned this degree through in-person studies with highly regarded professional counselors practicing in the community. I would describe myself as nurturing, empathetic, and open-minded. I am a proud wife and autism mom and believe these roles enrich my knowledge and perspective as a counselor.
I have over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health, with over five of those being specific to counseling. I have worked in a variety of settings and with individuals experiencing a multitude of counseling issues.
My approach to counseling is client-centered in that I believe wholeheartedly in the power of offering my clients empathy, unconditional positive regard, and freedom from judgment. I also utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe in tailoring my approach to each individual, couple, and family with whom I work.
My specialty areas include special needs parenting, caregiver stress/burnout, OCD and anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorder, chronic illness-related stress, and relationship issues. I also have experience with more rare disorders, such as Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome, Selective Mutism, and Dermatillomania.

Lindsay is an amazing couple’s therapist. We have had several throughout the years, and she is by far the best. She is easy to talk to, open, non-judgemental, funny, and kind. She’s not a passive therapist, she takes action. She takes time to think about us as a couple and comes up with a game plan to help improve things. She communicates clearly and helps us reframe problems. We appreciate her and her expertise very much!
