My name is Lee Hotze (Hot-zee), LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is here to help you work through life’s challenges and to reach your individual and relationship goals. I would first like to congratulate you both on taking your first step toward self-care and change, this is the hardest step, and you did it! Counseling provides a wonderful opportunity for self-discovery and growth. This is your journey; the two of you will set the pace, path, and destination. I have 5 years of Clinical Experience, providing services to Northern Alabama. I have a master’s degree in Counseling from Troy University, and I am currently working on a Ph.D. in General Psychology from Grand Canyon University, emphasizing in Industrial and Organizational psychology.
My counseling experiences span a variety of settings, ranging from substance abuse programs, adoption and foster care, mental health facilities, and school-based counseling working with diverse populations and ages spanning from adolescence throughout adulthood.
My counseling style is best described as eclectic. Everyone in this world is unique, and providing the right counseling techniques will be different for each client and situation. I have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and use a person-centered approach. Your treatment strategies will be developed to address both of your goals individually and as a couple. I am here to supportive, respectful, provide honest feedback, and acceptance, allowing us to build a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to be a guide in your journey by helping you set personal and relationship goals along your path until you reach your destination.
