Though I firmly believe we can only change ourselves, I also strongly believe we can influence the behavior of those around us by changing how we react to their behavior. Therefore, couples counseling can still be successful with only one person! If your partner isn’t ready to invest in counseling yet you can still make positive changes to your relationship.

Lauren is an amazing therapist and every week I do wait for our meeting with her. I and my partner decided to join couples therapy to improve our communication skills and to understand each other better and Lauren not only helps with that but also keeps in mind our different cultural backgrounds, different experiences, and other differences when we are talking about issues me and my partner are facing as a couple and as a parent. Lauren has a great sense of humor, she's always on point, and the tasks she gives us benefits our daily life. After sessions, I and my partner always speak about new things we learn from Lauren. I'm very glad she was assigned to us and I'm thankful from a bottom of my heart for the work she does.
