As a mental health counselor, I am often faced with individuals struggling in their relationship and I truly believe the only way to overcome relationship challenges is by having both individuals present and working toward resolution. Many of the challenges couples face are the result of poor communication skills or a lack of communication. By learning how to communicate effectively and really listening to what our partners are trying to tell us, we can transform an entire relationship. In working with couples, my experience leads to the belief that the most critical step in counseling is to have both individuals engaged and will to work on their relationship. When one person is not engaged in counseling, it is my job to make them feel comfortable and open to change. Once we have established that foundation, significant change can occur.

I am so glad I found ReGain and Kristi Vidal. She made a difficult subject easy to talk about, offered good advice. Encouraged and listened. And kept checking back in and offering support when I felt discouraged. Thanks to her, I am making progress and steps toward a better future!
Kristi is great. She listens very well to both my partner and I and provides insight into each other’s thought process.
