About Me

Life can sometimes seem overwhelming. At other times, it may just be full of discontent. And sometimes we can feel most alone when we are with the one we love. No matter if life is filled with past trauma to overcome or just uncertainty of the unknown future, as an experienced person-centered therapist I can help work with you both to seek answers, overcome obstacles, and attain your relationship goals. As social beings, I believe that all our relationships are of most importance and influence who we are and who we are to become. That is why I will focus on building a dynamic therapeutic relationship from the start

I have over ten years’ experience counseling and helping children, adolescents and adults in a community mental health setting. During the last ten years, I have had the privilege to serve clients with significant anxiety and depression symptoms, as well as issues dealing with psychosis. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness and integrate various approaches to best meet each situation. I also have been trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) which promotes a healthy parent child relationship. I use principles from Gottman's "Seven Principles of Makine a Marriage Work" and also principles from the Bible in my couples' therapy.

I hope I can join you in seeking the relationship you are hoping for and accomplishing the life changes needed as you grow that relationship. As the client, the couple is in charge and will make the decisions, as we work together to find ways for you both to make the changes you want in life. Change is not easy and life takes work, but there is joy in the moments and memories that make each relationship full. We learn from all of the situations and circumstances we face in life. I hope to get the pleasure of meeting you soon.
