About me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Hawaii with lots of experience working with different age groups throughout my profession. I have past experience working with individuals (of all ages), couples, and families. I have worked on a variety of concerns such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family problems, ADHD, depression and ODD. I have a strong background working closely with families on building a strong bond with each other and helping them understand each family members viewpoint.
Being born and raised on the island of Oahu and attending four years of college in Eastern Oregon, I have grown to appreciate all cultural backgrounds and lifestyles. It is a very important aspect for me to create an environment where any and everyone can feel comfortable being themselves. I am a strong believer in experiential therapy and work closely with each client to achieve the goals they set out for themselves by walking with them through their journey. I am a person and client-centered therapist, meaning I work with the client while holding them as the expert in their life. My approach also includes humanistic, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic counseling. I believe in treating others in a respectful manner at all times and lead sessions in a very open environment.
I believe in creating a safe space for all and look forward to creating that space together. I hope we can build a therapeutic relationship that can help you succeed in all aspects of life!
