I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with M.A. in Psychology & Counseling in Texas practicing over 10 years. I have worked with various age groups, ethnicities, genders under different settings, i.e., hospitals, residentials, private firms, & etc. I have experiences of working with various issues including various mood disorders/issues as well as personality disorders, ptsd, family issues, couples issues, gender issues, & more. I believe in resolving issues by exploring the root of the problem behaviors whether they be anxiety, depression, OCD, or relationship conflict.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy with Psycho Dynamic approaches are among my favorites to work with. I enjoy analyzing with my clients their thought patterns & behavior tendencies through exploring their childhood & current life to find some answers that they are looking for. It’s the best! Some times the process can be painful. That’s our defense mechanism stripping. It will be worth it though, when you make it there:)

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Katy Kong. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with ReGain might be different.
Katy has been great! She has so many suggestions to offer! I went into Counceling thinking I didn’t need this, I was trying to fix my husband but instead I’ve learned a lot about myself and how to adjust the way I respond and do things or say things so that my husband and I work together instead of not working together. Highly recommend.
Katy has been great- in a matter of a month she has helped me more than a years worth of other resources; therapists etc. She knows what she is talking about and provides applicable resources to work through in real time
I have only meet with her once I would need more time with her :-)
Ms. Kong is extremely well versed in couples counseling. She listens to both partners and assists the couple in finding their common ground to help build a more meaningful and connected relationship.
Katy is AMAZING! She has helped me through some dark times and there was never a sense of judgment. She listens and provides me with feedback I can use. Overall, she's great!
Kary Hong helped me and my significant other through some hard times. She helped up to try and understand each other and gave up good tools to help us communicate better. Almost ever time we had our sessions with her we had breakthroughs. She also displayed strong emotions that basically showed us and reminded us that she is not just some one doing there job,she actually cares. Thank you katy
Katy really listens with intent and purpose. She does such a wonderful job.
My wife and I gained some valuable insight with Katy by our second session. This has provided us with both knowledge to recognize our habits as well as tools to resolve our concerns. We just completed our fourth session with Katy and would highly recommend her to couples wanting to better their relationships. Thank you Katy for doing what you do!
I am very appreciative of Katy and her expertise. I think she does a good job of calling things as she sees them.
This is a very good platform, which makes therapy possible within a busy work week.
Katy Kong was the most unprofessional counselor I ever had. She literally yelled at me multiple times, called me “mean” and “irrational,” and suggested I get individual counseling during a couples counseling session. Even if she felt that way about me, should should have used therapeutic communication instead of labeling her clients. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Have had two couples therapy sessions with Katy and she puts me at ease. She is very wise and explains/breakdowns things (feelings, interactions, thoughts) in a way I can understand.
Our first session was solid.
Katy is very kind and patient, and focuses on communicating with each party in a way that they understand. She also makes sure that neither party feels left out or cornered.
Very sweet and understanding. Katy is great at calmly bringing clarity to a cloudy situation. We like her!
She is awesome! She is so knowledgeable and can translate how I feel. She understands
Great listener, and ability to facilitate conflict.
Very helpful in facilitating communication and making sure each party is heard. Very neutral and knowledgeable
