About Me

Life can often be a challenge no matter who we are or where we come from. Some of these challenges present themselves at times when we least expect them and can cause great difficulties in all areas of our lives. As a Clinical Counselor, my desire is to help clients reach their goal of increased mental health/wellness as well as achieve overall improvement in functioning.
For over 14 years, I've worked with various populations in numerous settings, including on our nation's military installations. I enjoy working with families and couples and being able to assist them in their journey of growing together. It is wonderful when we have someone in our lives and life can be great and fulfilling, however, often times we encounter difficulties along the way as we interact with one another. I view relationships in terms of individuals operating as one unit and sometimes conflict arises as a result of those individuals not having their needs met.
I am very appreciative to have the opportunity to engage with clients meeting them where they are and joining in a collaborative therapeutic relationship to assist them in their journeys toward a better and more fulfilling life. The use of person -centered and strength-based approach is essential in my interactions with and in the treatment of clients. Moreover, I am a system thinker and it is necessary for me to view individuals as part of a larger collective of relationships and to beware of the reciprocal effects on the person and the system in which they operate. Thus, I strongly believe that the foundation for effective treatment must include focusing on the whole person.

Katrice is very professional, compassionate and sweet. There's something very special about the way she listens and talks to you. My husband and I both benefit from talking with her.
