I have worked with couples sometimes it ended in dissolving the relationship if the lack of trust just wasn't there any longer. I never made the decision that was always up to the individuals. I worked with a couple; she was co-dependent but getting help for herself and her husband a recovering a alcoholic and he also had bipolar disorder. For them it a matter of the husband learning to manage his Bipolar disorder and for her to set limits with him and to follow through with what she wanted from him. I have run parenting groups and I have worked with parents and their children together. I find if everyone gets to say what they feel and what they want out of the relationship it all seems to work itself out in the end. Parents have to not be afraid to set limits with their children that is what makes them feel safe in the long run. Telling the person you are with what you need from them or what they did to offend you is the best you can do in a relationship. I can help guide families and couples in a better direction.
