My specialty is working with couples who are experiencing a wide range of challenges including affairs, abuse, drugs and alcohol, anger, trust problems, and communication problems.
My dedication to the field of mental health stems from my personal experience with it. I have personally overcome some mental health challenges over the course of my lifetime giving me firsthand experience in how difficult it can be to live with, get help with, and recover from mental health problems. I am here to tell you that no matter what you have been through, or are going through, there is hope, things can get better.
My counseling style is down to earth, compassionate, and caring combined with warmth and interaction. I believe in honesty and having an open mind. I believe that treating everyone with dignity and respect is a must, and will offer a nonjudgmental and understanding environment where people will feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings.
My approach to therapy combines active listening, strength-based, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral theory. I will personalize our work together to meet your specific needs. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I am here to help you establish goals and objectives to help you with current problems. Helping you to live your best life is part of my mission. I believe in meeting you where you are and helping you to get where you want to be. I look forward to helping you in any way I can!

Julie is great!
Julie is thoughtful and mature and a great listener. She has been a great support to my partner and I.
Julie is great! She led us into conversations that we needed to have. She did not talk all the time, she let us talk and gave us insight and encouragement when things got quiet. She is very easy to talk to and ai would most definitely recommend her and request her if we would need counseling again.
Julie has been very compassionate and kind since we started working with each other. I am hopeful she can give me some coping tools to come out the other side of the issues I am currently struggling with.
Julie helped to support me and give me confidence in a lot of ways. Thanks.
Julie is a great therapist. She pays attention to patterns in my relationship and is able to help pin-point and unpack unhealthy areas and addresses them directly. We went through a few counselors before finding her, and I would highly suggest her to others.
Julie has been a wonderful counselor and contact point to assist with some issues within my family and marriage. She has been prompt in her responses and has provided valuable feedback to help me through a very trying time. I appreciate her knowledge and how she addressed individual concerns. I would highly recommend this service and Julie to anyone looking for sound and practical advice. As a bonus, the service was available to fit into my schedule at the time it was greatly needed via email with the option of scheduled appointments if necessary. My experience has been wonderful!
Julie has been a wonderful asset to the healing of our relationship. Through a lot of intense, guided discussion, we've identified several areas that we're trying to be conscientious of and work through. She has been incredibly supportive of our alternate lifestyle and we felt no judgment--only open, honest counseling. I would definitely seek her out again in the future if there's a need.
