Sometimes in life, we need help sorting out problems and finding our way to the best solution. This is the reason I pursued a counseling degree, after working as an educational professional for over 20 years. My background in education provides me with experience in adolescent behaviors, depression, goal-setting and addressing family/parenting issues. I’ve honed my counseling skills to also be of help in grief work, life changes, motivation and goal-setting, as well as depression, anxiety and substance abuse/addiction.
The first step I take in the counseling relationship, involves empowering my clients to advocate for their emotional well-being. This means that my clients work to understand that they actually do know themselves better than anyone else. My job as their therapist is to help unravel the difficult circumstance or uncomfortable emotion that may be plaguing them. I use an eclectic style of therapy, because just as we are each individuals, not every therapeutic modality may fit a client’s personality.
My style of counseling is warm, inviting and most importantly patient with clients. I want to listen to them so we can move to a plan of action that will bring them clarity and resolution. I love working with clients and seeing hope come into their life after we work together. If you are ready to start a journey that will empower you, I am here to be your advocate!

Judy is an amazing therapist! She is objective and provides me with the tools to steer my ship effectively. Thank you for guiding me to create the positive outcome I’ve been searching for.
Judy helps in every way imaginable and is there when I need help. I could not ask for more.
I love that Judy takes the time and listens to both of our concerns, helps us to dig into the issues underneath the surface of our main concerns to help us work on the root cause. The exercises given to us are challenging but I understand why they are very important and necessary to be implemented in our relationship. She doesn't choose sides and helps us to turn our arguments into healthier and more resolvable discussion.
