My name is Judith Mathewson, PhD, LPC, and I am licensed in FL, AK and AR. I am a mentor and Veteran of the US Air Force.
Let's work together to develop communication skills, character strengths, understanding your own and your partner's love language, through the art of dialogue. I assist couples with parenting skills, understanding how to "have spaces in your togetherness" and work through trauma, depression, and career difficulties. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Bowenian techniques. I appreciate the balance of caregiving of children and elders, employment, self-care, and your relationship which can sometimes feel it is short-changed.
I look forward to guiding you both along life's journey as you travel together through challenges and victories. In this time of stress and uncertainty, we can explore your different spiritual, emotional, and intellectual qualities and what you both bring to the table to make life more than surviving but thriving with the person you have chosen as your partner.
To your health and happiness,
Judith Mathewson, PhD, LPC

We absolutely love Dr. Mathewson! She’s great. We really appreciate her.
I think Dr. Mathewson is a wonderful resource. It's clear she is well prepared for our sessions and she comes to the table with great insights. She is a great listener, but she also makes suggestions, and provides us with resources in order to do more homework. I feel very valued by Dr. Mathewson.
Dr. Mathewson is very empathic and makes a fine therapist with real world practical experience that augments her therapy practice. Would recommend; particularly, for women seeking help in finding their voice to represent their needs.
Dr. Mathewson is very understanding giving our complicated situation and tries to mediate as best as she possibly can. She is very generous with her time, supportive, available, and empathetic. I am glad that she was matched with us and I am very hopeful that together we can save our marriage.
