My name is Joy Kelleher and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with couples, families, and individuals, including extensive international work. In counseling you can expect professional, empathetic, and targeted support to facilitate the changes you want to see in your lives and in your relationships. There are many types and styles of relationships and I believe strongly in helping people to leverage their unique strengths, to heal from grief and loss, trauma, and other adversities that may be impacting their relationships. At the core of my work is a belief in the power of transformation through connections, empowerment, and healing. My personal and professional philosophy is that what binds us all together are some common needs, desires, and wants. People want to have a voice and to be heard. We are wired for connections and relationships. Fundamentally we want and need to feel that we belong and have a place in this world. We all have our fears, doubts, and unique experiences that shape our sense of self, choices, and world view. We all have mountains to climb, barriers to overcome, and pains to bear. The idea of counseling is to gain the support and tools you need to navigate life stressors together, build resilience, and find a positive way forward.

She listens so well to us. She gave a lot helpful information and insight on how to work and begin to fix our marriage.
Joy was very helpful with helping us tackle our main issue of communication problems. She taught us a few good strategies that helped us and have worked for these past few weeks. I’m very happy with what joy has brought to us and I'm glad that it was pleasant experience.
