I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing in the state of Wisconsin for several years at varying levels of care - I'm excited to open up my practice to better help and the online community here. I started working in the outpatient world working predominantly with adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders in Milwaukee. After working with adults individually, in groups, and in a day treatment I decided to shift my focus to adolescents in a partial hospitalization setting. Though I enjoyed working with adolescents and grew considerably as a clinician my family brought me back to my home town and working with adults with a strong focus in trauma.
I'd been interested in psychology and counseling from an early age but mentors at CU Boulder, Mount Mary University, and clinical supervisors in Milwaukee helped to shape my counseling style. I align strongly with an Adlerian approach to counseling - one that sees the individual as a whole - not divisible into mind, body, or a list of diagnosis. I believe that community and relationships are the way to health and sustaining ones self in the face of an ever changing and complicated world.
Throughout my time in outpatient and partial hospitalization settings I have been able to aid couples in coming together to sustain their relationship, build on old growth, or part amicably - I want to aid those I work with to foster their goals and live inside of their values.
I know I can offer a steady hand, two open ears, and a wealth of experience in counseling across the life span. I use evidence based approaches ranging from CBT, DBT, ERP for anxiety and OCD, and PE for treatment of trauma. Regardless of the treatment approach I know that the relationship between myself and the people I work with is the most important part of moving towards living a healthy, more connected life.

We saw Jon for couples counseling. It was my first experience with online counseling and while I was skeptical at first, even after our first session Jon made me feel so at ease. He is very calm and supportive, listens to both spouses and helped us understand eachother's perspectives. In every session, he provided tangible, useful examples and gave us tools like breathing practices, journaling, and reminded us how important self care practices are. I now feel that online therapy is a great fit, and fe so lucky to have been matched with Jon. I looked forward to our sessions, and in the week following, my husband and I often referenced what we had discussed in the session or used one of the tools Jon have us. I highly recommend Jon to everyone, he helped us through an incredibly difficult period in our lives.
