About me
While I am not a MFT I have 25 years experience as a licensed therapist in private practice. My practice was in rural west Tennessee where there aren't a great many therapists but a great number of people in need. I often saw generations of a family. I have dealt with most of the usual problems: infidelity, abuse, anger, addiction, abandonment and loss of self respect and self esteem. I also work as a therapist in a boys group home where we do behavior modification and work with parents and guardians in hopeful reconciliation with their child. (Parental skill training is often called for.) As a Christian, I have a strong belief in restoring marriages and bringing couples together. That is the beginning of our youth's tomorrows.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for John Thompson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
We have worked with other therapists for couples counseling in the past, but none has been able to nail down the concerns and hold us to task like John has. We are thankful for him!
John is really helpful and points you in the direction that helps you find answers to your issues.
John is kind, patient, a great listener, and he helped us identify our issues. He knew how to get us talking and confronting the issue. If we are to continue therapy, it will always be with him. God bless you John. Thank you
I always feel comfortable in sharing with John. His kindness and wise questioning helps my husband and I work through our issues together.
