About Me

I believe that everyone has a purpose in this life. I believe that if you put in the work, you can overcome anything. I believe that things happen to us & it is the way that we respond to them that makes us who we are. I have worked with couples & families for the past 6 years, providing Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, & Solution-Focused Therapy. I utilize an eclectic approach to help meet you where you are at & help achieve the goals you are working on. My passion lies in helping people who have experienced trauma grow & overcome. I enjoy working with couples & helping them work through problems & decide what the best plan for them moving forward is. I am passionate about helping trauma & abuse survivors become the best version of themselves through working through their trauma. I utilize talk therapy with some aspects of EMDR included. I believe that creating your own narrative & looking for solutions to move forward is the best way to grow & develop into the best version of ourselves. I believe that you, the client, know what is best for you & our work will be centered around your needs & goals. I attended Radford University & received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2014. I have since been licensed in the state of North Carolina. I believe that my education & work experience in the field will benefit our therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapeutic rapport is the most important aspect of therapy, so I spend a lot of time joining & building trust with my clients. Let's work together to help you become the best version of yourself!
