I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Masters of Education in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University. I later received additional coursework in the area of school counseling from North Carolina State University. I am currently pursuing a doctorate of education at Gardner-Webb University in Organizational Leadership.
I have over fifteen years of of experience working couples on the spectrum of their relationship to help them go from surviving to thriving in individual, small-group and retretreat formats. I offer counseling services in the areas of marriage/couples/relationships, premarital counseling, rebounding from infidelity, stress and anxiety management for relationships, life and career transitions impacting relationships and separation/divorce. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling theoretical orientation grounded through use of the cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered techniques, solution-focused brief therapy, reality therapy and rational emotive therapy.
