Hello, I am Georgia Bryce. I transitioned to the world of therapy after having worked in the field of environmental science and engineering for 16 years. I have been working for approximately 5 years as a clinical therapist in the state of Florida; specializing in identifying poor (dysfunctional) patterns of interaction and communication in families that often give rise to interpersonal relationship (family) conflict and other internalized issues. I provide couples therapy within the context of family therapy to help strengthen the parental relationship and thereby help families achieve the success and balance they desire.
One of my flagship services involves offering therapeutic support to individuals recovering from substance and alcohol abuse (must have completed detox and/or a treatment program). This includes helping recovering addicts effectively reintegrate into their relationships, by working through the impact of the addiction on their partners and families and identifying and addressing those stressors within the relationship that could precipitate relapse; including poor patterns of interaction and communication, ineffective conflict resolution, and boundary setting and maintenance.
I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, despite their current state of affair, and my responsibility is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that fosters clients capabilities and their sense of self. I am collaborative and solution-focused in my approach and my strategy involves asking pivotal questions early in the process to gain a good grasp of clients concerns and to get clients thinking. I utilize homework throughout therapy duration to reinforce clients gains. I encourage clients to be as open as possible as this allows me the opportunity to provide them with the best level of service.

Georgia has been very direct and concise on her counseling. We have done in office counseling before and haven't had as much depth as we do with her.
