About me
My name is Erica Helzer and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2001 with a master’s degree in Social Work. I have been working in the mental health field for the past 20 years and couples counseling has become my passion.
Whether you have been married for 5 years or 35 years, I am confident I can help you rebuild a connection with your partner.
Knowing and speaking your partner’s love language is essential in the overall health of your marriage. In our sessions, your goal will be to become fluent in speaking your partners primary love language. In our sessions, you will gain insight into the differences of Pink (female) and Blue (male) and how those difference result in different needs (Love and Respect). Conflicts are unavoidable in a marriage, but it is how we “fight” that will make or break a relationship. In our sessions, you will learn fair ways to “fight” and remain connected even while in a conflict.
It is very hard to reach out for help and admit when our relationship is failing. It takes courage to talk about the pain in our relationships and face uncertainty. I am here to help you rescue, restore, and rebuild your marriage. My hope is to take your marriage to a level of connection and intimacy you felt was impossible.
I look forward to working with you and connecting soon!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Erica Helzer. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Erica is super. Thoughtful, Listens, seeks out underlying issues, reflects back.
Erica had been an absolute God send to my husband and I. She listens very well and gives honest feedback, advice and direction.
Wonderful!
She listens to my problems well and advises where needed
Erica was very well versed in her type of therapy & could site examples of things she was recommending. She did not spend a lot of time doing that, but it was helpful to know that she understands the things she is recommending. I found her to be honest at difficult times & extremely fair.
Erica has enabled me to understand my husband better and has been a great support. I would thoroughly recommend her services!
