My name is Dr. Elizabeth Nyang. I have a masters degree in counseling from Seaton Hall University and a doctorate degree in counseling psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. I work with clients (adults and adolescents) that have issues with mental health and/ life issues. I accept clients with depression, anxiety, problems at work, problems within the family, mood disorders, and adjustment issues. I use a cognitive behavioral approach and Gestalt techniques integrated with meditation and tai chi to help clients gain insight into the root causes of their problems or parenting issues and reduce stress.
When I work with couples, I help them focus on specific problems that interfere with the relationship and drives them apart. We work on putting the relationship back together in a peaceful way. I use different interventions that focus on making changes and moving away from past issues that cause them to be stuck in the relationship. Together we look for solutions and focus on treatment goals.

Dr. Nyanja is caring, thoughtful and provides a place for important work for our marriage. She is experienced and has a lot of knowledge to share. I highly recommend her.
Dr Nyang is kind, professional and understanding. I like her approach and the tools she uses for our marriage therapy.
A good listener who provides sound instruction and assists with problem solving.
I think Dr. Nyang is a great counselor. She is able to delve into deeper core issues and problems that should be addressed in order to improve more non-core issues and problems.
Dr. Nyang's experience comes through right away. She is very professional and will work through your problems with you. She isn't someone that is just going to tell you what you want to hear, and that is someone I like to work with. I look forward to continuing my work with her.
Dr. Nyang has been life changing for my husband and I. We instantly connected with her, she’s very patient, understanding and versatile. She has given us great strategies to deal with our conflict, which we had never thought to try despite many other efforts. She also is extremely responsive and will go above to resolve issues between us even if she has to schedule multiple sessions a day. We never actually expected therapy to help us as much as it has and definitely not as quickly. We have made significant strides yet still choose to continue with Dr. Nyang for continued growth within out relationship together but individually as well. She has began helping me with understanding my bipolar disorder by giving me a mood chart. If you want a top quality therapist that really cares, Dr. Nyang is for you.
Great insight into couples. Found new techniques for communicating with my future wife.
