About me
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1990. I have worked in the mental health field since 1975, in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and then interning in private practice for three years prior to becoming licensed. I was extremely lucky to have worked at a psychiatric hospital early on that provided staff education with some of the most famous people in the field of psychotherapy, so I feel my foundation is outstanding.
I have worked with individuals, families, and couples. My speciality has been working with people going through Infertility and I have had specialized training in this unique area as well as being a therapist with a national support organization. All of this experience and training define who I am as a therapist/counselor today.
I have a good understanding of how our family of origin affects how we function today and utilize a family systems and a more eclectic approach. But more than what approaches I draw from, it is the connection with my clients that helps them achieve their goals.
What I love about couples therapy is helping people look at their expectations which I feel is the crux of the issues so many couples try to deal with. Once you understand each other's expectations I can help you get past the roadblocks that those expectations can cause.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Elaine Lipkin. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Great therapist really dies a good job.
Elaine is wonderful to talk to, very knowledgeable in her field, and really takes in what we are communicating to her about each topic/situation. She seems to understand snd empathize, but also asks good questions to keep us processing the root meanings/causes and helps keep us accountable for when change or further development and evolving is necessary. We are very grateful for her service and guidance as we sought out these services in a proactive approach - we (as a couple) weren’t in crisis, however we have found that we were a little stuck and needed a fresh perspective on how we can stay best partners for each other as well as the individual work needing to be explored. She has given us some great resources and helped us better understand and work through a few scenarios as they unfolded.
Elaine is a thoughtful, well trained woman. We appreciate her.
Elaine is very insightful and has offered very helpful strategies to help guide me through my situation.
Great so far
We can't say enough good things about Elaine. She is patient, kind, genuine, and truly talented; we're so happy that we got matched with her. She helped get our relationship back on track, inspiring significant growth among us as individuals as well as a couple, and giving us new relationship tools we need for the future. Thank you, Elaine –– you are an angel!
Elaine is lovely. She was so kind and met us where we were. She gave us good skills for communication and helped talk us through fertility issues and a pregnancy loss. Highly recommend Elaine.
Elaine is a very helpful and kind person, she makes you feel comfortable from the start!
My husband was very concerned about marriage counseling, but Elaine Lipkin made the experience very non-threatening. We both felt supported in our needs throughout our sessions. She offered practical suggestions about how we could better communicate and navigate problems.
