About Me
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapist in North Carolina. I completed my Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2014 at Appalachian State University with certifications in Systemic Multicultural Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling. During the last three years I have strictly focused on couples counseling and relationship issues while working with special populations such as Military and LGBT couples among others.
I specialize in providing Gottman Method Couples Counseling, an approach backed by 40+ years of research into what makes relationships successful. This method is designed to help teach specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy in your relationship. In order to help you productively manage conflicts, you will be taught methods to manage “resolvable problems” and dialogue about “gridlocked” issues. We will also work together to help you appreciate your relationship’s strengths and to gently navigate through its vulnerabilities. I place particular emphasis on building healthy and productive communication skills. Additionally, I specialize in the Gottman Method's "Atone, Atune, Attach Model" for rebuilding trust and commitment following infidelity in a relationship.
I believe everyone has the strength and resources within themselves to grow and confront life’s challenges. Through nonjudgmental support, honest feedback, and research based approaches, I work with individuals and couples to help rediscover their own ability to effectively overcome obstacles and reach their goals.

Counselor Dillon Epley is understanding and scientific-oriented. I am at the beginning of the therapy and he is showing me the research and data-based concept.
