About Me

Hello and Welcome!

It's natural to argue or disagree with each other every once in a while, however when you begin to find yourself feeling critical or defensive, contempt, or distant from your partner, or gridlocked over a problem, it's time to address the situation before it gets worse. I can work with you and your partner to help you better communicate, work through the issues that most impact your relationship, and strengthen your relationship.

I am a Masters level therapist with over 20 years’ experience with diverse populations. I graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University-Los Angeles and am a Licensed Marital & Family Therapist in the State of Louisiana. I have extensive experience working with couples struggling with communication, problem-solving, and loss of respect, trust, or intimacy.

My approach is based on the Gottman Method of couples therapy, but I also incorporate other theories, such as cognitive behavioral, narrative, attachment theory, and mindfulness, to ensure your specific concerns are addressed in a way most effective for you. In order to take the lessons learned outside of our time together, I will also give you exercises or experiments to try between sessions. This is not long term work, but it does require a willingness to open up and to work hard to make your relationship better.

I look forward to working with you!
