My name is Darice Dodd and I am licensed therapist in the state of Missouri with almost 20 years of extensive education, training, and experience in the mental health and substance abuse/ addictions field. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a credential awarded by the National Board for Certified Counselors (Board-Certified) and a Certified Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) . I graduated from Georgia State University, with both a Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling and Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy simultaneously.
For over 10 years, I have worked with couples and families with a wide range of concerns including substance abuse and its' affect on familial relationships, divorce/separation, premarital concerns, relationship issues, grief and loss, mid life concerns, financial problems, anger mngt, infidelity, etc. I have also helped couples affected by trauma and abuse. Additionally, I have been married for 11 years and have 3 sons (11-year-old, and 7-year-old, and 4 year old ) so I can relate to many of the problems/ issues you may be experiencing, as well as how they may impact the marital relationship and parenting approaches.
My counseling style is eclectic, meaning I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities to create the ideal treatment to meet the client's needs. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, nonjudgemental, and empathic therapeutic environment. I believe that everyone is uniquely different and may not respond to a one size fits all therapeutic modality. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, person centered, family systemic, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific goals and desires. I tend to work with clients from a strength-based, positive, and affirming perspective. My specialties include assessment/evaluation, substance abuse/addictions counseling, individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, play therapy, etc. I have experience working with adults, children/adolescents, couples and families within a multitude of different settings.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Darice Dodd. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
We are so happy with Darice and she has been a great fit for us. Caring, genuine and knows when to ask the right questions.
Darice Dodd is such an insightful counselor who addresses problems that others cannot figure out. Love how professional she is when discussing difficult situations & decisions that need to be made.
I have been seeing darice for couples therapy and she has helped me communicate and understand my partner so much better. I thought I had everything figured out but she helped me understand that I didn’t. I can’t thank her enough for being here for me and my other half. Even when it has something to do with me as an individual. She is great!
Darice has been so helpful in navigating various situations and is genuinely concerned with helping her patients.
Darice is so nice. I’m a very anxious person and we have only had two sessions with her so far, but she makes me feel safe and understood. I love how she likes to end our sessions on a little positive note! I hope anyone struggling with their relationship can get help from her because she really knows what she’s doing.
I have been to many different therapists in my life and Darice is by far the best. She listens, offers a wide range of tools to help me and doesn’t just let me vent. I have only had a few sessions so far and I have gained so much! She is wonderful!
Darice made me feel very comfortable, and I was able to freely share my thoughts and feelings with her. Her vibe was very friendly and not "therapist" like
Ms. Darice is amazing she really helps me and my spouse feel comfortable and she helps us understand each other better ! Sessions with her are the highlight of our day ! She's amazing
She’s the best. I always feel heard and she really helps me to build the confidence in myself that I lack a lot of the time.
Darice is an absolute gift. She is excellent at what she does and I recommend her to everyone. I like the regain platform but am hesitant to recommend regain because not every therapist is going to be as incredible as Darice. I share this based on the various therapists I met with through Betterhelp.
In summary, Darice is the best therapist I’ve ever worked with and I’ve been working with various therapists for the last 20 years. I’m forever grateful to have found her.
Darice has been an amazing Therapist so far. She is very knowledgeable and has been extremely supportive throughout this process. She asks lots of questions to get a better understanding of who I am, my thought processes, and how she can better assist me.
Great listener. Always keeps us focused on our issue at hand and guides us through it all. Has helped my marriage in ways I can’t explain.
Darice has been excellent. My wife and I have met with other therapists in the past and have always felt a disconnect. Darice gets us. She speaks right to the heart of the problem and offers invaluable perspective. She also has a unique ability to point out our flaws without triggering our defenses, which makes it easier to take accountability. Darice always has a positive attitude and makes therapy enjoyable. Thank you, Darice!
I really appreciate the time I get to spend with Darice. She does an excellent job of listening and helping me feel at ease. She guides the conversation in a very fluid, natural manner and knows when and how to ask the right questions. She is definitely knowledgeable in her field and maintains her practice with professionalism.
Darice is an awesome counselor. I am so glad that we found her because we went through a couple other counselors before her and she is the best! She genuinely cares about her clients and provides the time and help that you need. I would definitely recommend her for couples counseling. Thank you Darice!
