Claire McDonough

About Me

I have a Masters and Bachelors in Social Work and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. My experience over the past 19 years has been in a variety of mental health settings. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well as several other modalities. I have worked with adults, families and couples with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar and general marital and couples issues.
Therapy can be intimidating and opening up to stranger can be difficult, which is why I feel that building trust from the beginning is important. I will take the time to listen, and treat you with respect while at the same time challenge you to achieve your goals or help with something you are struggling with. I really enjoy helping people and I hope I can help you.

Claire is a highly professional and experienced counselor. She gets to the heart of the problem with her questions and her feedback is great. She really cares and wants to help. My partner and I are working with her and I feel so empowered to have her in our corner that we are going to resolve our issues and learn to address them in a way thats best for us.
