I have been working as a Marriage and Family therapist since 2010. I was licensed in New Mexico for most of my career, but transferred to Washington state in 2016. I have worked with individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds and income levels. Relationship problems, intimacy issues, parenting problems, and conflict resolution are all part of my expertise. I understand how these problems are compounded by other mental health issues like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, addiction, and personality disorders. Building healthy relationships is complex, but worth every ounce of effort that is placed into it.
I try to keep my sessions friendly and welcoming. I enjoy humor and feel that it is a healthy coping skill to be utilized. Every problem has a solution waiting to be found and my goal is to help clients find their own unique solutions to life's most complicated issues. My practice includes cognitive behavioral approaches as well as mindfulness and solution focused therapy. I treat individuals as unique cases and avoid lumping people into categories. Working as a team, we can find ways to navigate the sometimes complicated path to healing and create a solid and healthy relationship for you and your loved ones.
Therapy can be an intimidating process. My goal is to make it comfortable, helpful, and maybe even a little fun.

Cindy continues to be a great resource for my wife and I. Not sure where we'd be without her. She's amazing.
I really think that Cindy’s help is the main reason my marriage has a chance or surviving. She is amazing and perceptive and so helpful.
Cindy is smart, respectful, and incredibly insightful. She is non-judgemental, honest, and I feel like she really understands and appreciates what’s being said.
Cindy Johnson has helped not only the relationship after my partner cheated and lied, but she most importantly helped me cope and find myself in all of our sessions. She helped me see both sides of view as well as put some order to my very hurt discombobulated thoughts and feelings so I could progress forward.
Cindy is great!
Cindy was my second counselor and I am so very happy I took a leap of faith to change counselors. She has helped me deal with so much already and I feel so relieved just knowing I can talk to her. She is insightful, positive and responsive. I really needed all of these and she has far surpassed my expectations! Thank you so very much, Cindy!!!!
Cindy has a great head on her shoulders for this work. A joy to communicate with, even when talking about non joyful topics
Cindy has been completely devoted to our counseling and has gone above and beyond to really provide us with all the tools we need to move forward.
Cindy is patient and thoughtful. She has kept our conversations moving in a positive direction and gave us lots of suggestions to help us work through our disagreements. I really appreciate all of Cindy’s kind attention to our relationship.
Cindy has been a breath of fresh air when we most needed it as a couple. Her compassionate and clear communication and understanding has made us both feel heard and the way in which she bridges our lack of communication with each other has helped us trust and a deeper connection with each other. Her tools are useful and easy to understand and implement.
Cindy listens well and offers thoughtful recommendations. I feel those recommendations are leading to a closer connection with my partner than I had before. Thank you, Cindy!
CIndy is amazing and has already helped so much.
Cindy has been great! She responds quickly, provides a neutral and positive incite, and is friendly and professional. We are happy she’s working with us.
Cindy had done a great job remaining neutral with marriage counseling which is very appreciated.
Cindy has a warm and gentle approach. She uses humor, in the right context, to help relay a point or idea that helps with the issues her clients are facing. I find that she is able to help me feel less alone and isolated in my ordeals and problems. It's easy when in depression to feel as if no one can share your pain, but Cindy has a way of shedding a humorous light on situations and offers helpful examination on the human condition.
Cindy has been very insightful, and offered workable solutions to problems addressed with her.
