About me
Howdy!! I am a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I graduated from the prestigious HBCU Dillard University in New Orleans, LA in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and earned my Master of Social Work degree from the remarkable University of Houston: Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) in 2012. I have training and experience with several treatment modalities and tailor my work to fit the needs of my clients. My experience has given me the opportunity to work with individuals, families, couples, and groups. I really enjoy working with my clients to identify and attain their individual goals, as well as develop and work on goals as a couple. Respectful and effective communication is the cornerstone of a strong relationship and truly aids in keeping the love alive. It continues to marvel me that just about anything can be overcome when two people agree and commit to doing the work required to create and foster a mutually respectful, loving, and supportive partnership.
My communication style is assertive; encompassing honesty, candor, and A LOT of wit. I thoroughly enjoy sharing the gift I have been granted, which allows me to help others realize we all have the power within us to have the life we want and deserve! I like to enjoy a healthy work/life balance which has given me the opportunity to explore my creative side. I love spending time with my family and friends AND I enjoy my solitude as well. Yes, you CAN do both! My current creative interests lie in drawing, writing, and designing functional tools to aid myself and others in making personal and work projects better organized and more enjoyable

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Cicely Betts. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Cicely has been amazing for us and very helpful in helping us to heal as a couple!
Cicely Betts has been a very good therapist for myself and my husband. She has been able to teach us how to listen and respond in a more healthy manner with each other.
Cicely has shown a deep level of understand when it comes to my partner and I’s relationship. This has greatly helped our communication improve.
Cicely has been a great help to me and my partner during a trying time in our relationship. She definitely understands both of our individual needs and struggles and does her best to make sure we have a better understanding of one another with each session. I look forward to our continued sessions with her.
We have been seeing Cicely for about 3 months now for couples therapy, and she is honestly the first therapist I’ve personally seen I feel completely comfortable with. She is so easy to open up to and asks all the right questions to get us to dig deeper and see each other’s perspective. We are constantly recommending this to all our friends now that we’ve worked with Cicely. 10/10!
Very confrontational as a therapist but also very accepting 10/10 therapist
Cicely is such a delight. She has given my partner and I such great advice. I'm definitely glad she is our therapist and look forward to our meetings every week.
