About me

Welcome! My name is Cassandra but I preferred to be called Cassie. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX) with 6 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, in-home, and schools. I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, and family/relationship conflicts. I also have experience working with life transitions as well as grief and loss, and trauma. While I have spent my last few years working with adolescents, I also enjoy working with adults, couples, and families. I also greatly enjoy working with military families and take pride in being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Like most people, I have also struggled and once found myself in need of therapy. With that experience, my passion for mental health was ignited and my journey towards becoming a counselor began. I am incredibly passionate about helping people through life's changing seasons. While I cannot guarantee immediate results, I can guarantee that I will be a supportive guide to you in your time of need.

My counseling style is warm and interactive and I consider myself to be pretty humorous, because let's face it, life is infinitely easier when laughing. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is person-centered, holistic, multi-cultural, and collaborative. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused counseling. However, I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs - my goal is to always meet you where you are.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
