About me

I have worked with individuals, ages 6 to 80 with a range of reasons they are seeking therapy, including, stress, trauma, post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, obsessive compulsive disorder, social conflict, family conflict, gender and sexual identity concerns, mood dysregulation, and pain.

I have been trained in several evidence-based interventions including, multi systemic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, EFT, and EMDR. in addition I have training in yoga, meditation, and stress management techniques.

I take a holistic approach to therapy and employ different interventions based on need, preference, and desired outcomes. I work collaboratively with clients to develop their treatment goals and treatment plan so that the treatment is tailored to each unique person.

I believe the goals of therapy are to:
Increase our understanding of ourselves
Learn to mange stress more effectively
Learn to be less reactive to our thoughts or body sensations
Learn to create healthier habits
Learn to create secure attachment relationships
Learn to like the self
Learn to soothe the self

*I have experience helping individuals navigate complex relationships. The goals of relational work can include learning what attachment style you are and how that relates to how you interact with others and yourself.

Dr. Swiderski is excellent. She is straight forward and easy to open up to. Signing up to utilize her expertise is the best decision I have made in a very long time!! I feel such a sense of relief having her guidance and feedback.

Dr. Swiderski really knows what she’s doing. She’s educated and also in touch with a deeper level of intuition and spiritual understanding of humans and relationships. She’s well versed in dealing with trauma and in finding the root of an issue. I would recommend her to anyone!
