My name is Carol Jaques (pronounced Jakes) and I am a therapist in Colorado. I have been practicing for 13 years. I chose to enter the mental health field to share my experience that I’ve gathered over the years. I’m an older adult, but don’t let that deter you. I’ve counseled adults of all ages and I believe, with all humility, that I’ve been able to help a great many of them. I have enjoyed working with couples, although I don’t specialize in couples counseling. One thing I know is that my job as a counselor does not mean I have an agenda when I work with couples. It’s not my job to make sure they stay together or separate. My job as I see it is to give them constructive feedback so the couple can make their own decision. I practice CBT and Solution-focused therapy.
