About me

Living life can be challenging...learning to live life with a partner can be extremely more challenging. I understand that often couples love each other, but stand on two sides of the same issue. Other times, couples just need an independent person to support them despite the support that they feel from their family and friends. It is important to have someone who can help both parties navigate the dynamics of living and building life together in a way that makes each party feel supported and that brings or keeps both sides together in love and understanding. This is my goal with every couple that I work with. I focus on increasing the support and communication and creating restoration.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in individual therapy, family therapy and counselor development in the metropolitan Atlanta area. I have been trained in couples work through the Prepare-Enrich Program. I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with adults, adolescents, families and couples in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Some of my specialities include life transitions, depression, communication, anger management and addiction recovery. My previous experience includes serving as a counselor in a substance abuse Intensive Outpatient Program for three years and working as the Lead Counselor at a residential drug rehabilitation center for six years. I have over 15 years of experience in the counseling and addiction recovery fields including serving as a Treatment Coordinator for an addictionologist and a clinician at both Ridgeview Institute and Peachford BHS of Atlanta.

As an interactive, solution-focused therapist, my approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methods and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Candy Rogers-Prosper. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.

Written on Sep 30, 2019 after therapy with Candy for 2 months on issues concerning relationship

We first signed up for counseling as my boyfriend & I are in a long distance relationship & were struggling to effectively & positivity communicate. Candy has been a fantastic! She is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, has fantastic suggestions & has helped us make a positive impact in our relationship. I never feel as though she is taking sides & she is very good at getting us to see the others perspective. She is also very patient with our unique technical challenges as the three of us are all based in different locations & we were able to come up with a creative solution to make use of the video chat sessions. Candy has also been fantastic in working with us on our scheduling challenges (we are working around a 6 hour time difference between my boyfriend & I). The sessions have evolved into one on one sessions with Candy & myself. I am extremely grateful to all of her help during this emotionally difficult time. I highly recommend sessions with Candy. We have used the messaging and video chat features & it really is as good as being in the same room without the inconvenience of traveling to see someone. Thank you Candy!!
