I believe the counseling experience is a very personal, shared interaction between two people; the most crucial aspect of this relationship is trust. To help you build this trust, I want to share with you my professional beliefs, background, and most importantly, what you can expect.
I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from UNC Charlotte, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Professional in North Carolina. My area of special experience is working with individuals who have been abused or have experienced other traumatic events. I also have over 15 years of experience working with a variety of concerns from depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, spirituality, substance abuse and self-esteem. In addition, I have over 10 years experience helping couples rebuild their relationship.
So many times, we look to our significant other to “fix” all the things that we have missed in our lives. We think if they would just… then everything would be better. This, so often, leads to resentment, anger, unhealthy communication and disconnection. My goal in relationship counseling is to help each individual to take responsibility for their own actions, to take proactive steps to improve relationship and to rebuild the connection you once had. I will assist you in understanding and interacting with you partner from a place of compassion, understanding and care.
My interactions with you will be tailored to your specific needs and goals. I strive to offer concrete practices and tools that you can use to help with navigating through life together.

I couldn't ask for a better therapist. Very fair and honest.
I truly appreciate Autumn and her patience,. I feel like she makes sense of a lot of the things my spouse and I can't interpret. And her homework is great!
