Hello, my name is Austa Murray and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience bringing knowledge from a broad range of settings focused on improving relationships through both individual and group therapy. In my work with couples, I ensure that both people are heard, understood and validated, while working towards improved communication and an overall healthier relationship. My intention is to move at a pace comfortable to you and to build a connection, so that you can receive the support you're seeking. I have worked with a diverse group of clients who've faced a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, career difficulties, parenting issues, relationship issues, and infidelity. I have advanced training in working through an attachment and trauma based lens, as well as developmental expertise.
My style is compassionate, non-judgmental, educational and insight based. I see my role as providing you with my experience and knowledge in a supportive manner to help you navigate the challenges that led you to seek support. This often involves addressing your presenting concerns with a combination of understanding, listening, skill development, and psychological concepts based on establishing insight. My approach is strengths-based, trauma and developmentally informed, combining cognitive behavioral and solution-focused counseling styles. For individuals or couples who are seeking help, a focus on treatment would be on improving communication, building empathy and identifying triggers for disagreements and ways to be productive during times of conflict. Together, we will create a plan to meet your needs. I look forward to working with you.

Can’t praise Austa enough for all the guidance she’s given us. She has given us the tools and resources to evolve our relationship in many ways. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and understanding. I look forward to our sessions and feel considerably better afterwards.
Austa is a great person to work with. She never makes you feel judged, and you feel free to open up to her. She is always flexible with scheduling and wants to be there for you. Could not be happier with my experience with her.
Austa is excellent at listening to both sides and helping build understanding. She identifies miscommunications and provides suggestions on how to communicate more effectively. She reaches out often to check in on us between sessions and makes time for us. She is very understanding and I really enjoy working with her.
