Hello and welcome to Regain! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and congratulations on the decision on both your parts to work toward a better way of living for yourselves (and if applicable, for your children).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado. Though I have traveled near and far, this is my home state. I returned to Colorado because I missed the majestic mountains, crystal clear, blue skies, 300 + days of sunshine, and of course, breathtaking taking views of this state during our snowy winters!
I have been working in the mental health field for over 25+ years in a variety of settings. As a result, I have learned to take a non-judgmental approach in regard to any personal background or history. I have specifically worked with couples (with or without their children), learning that communication is the key in working toward understanding your significant other’s perspective and/or viewpoint in regard to:
• Repairing what’s wrong in your relationship
• Reconnecting with each other
• Communicating effectively
• Resolving conflicts
• Reducing anger, arguments, and withdrawal
• Beginning to heal and trust
• Putting romance and passion back in the relationship
My counseling style is client-centered, strengths-based, holistic in nature (solving problems by thoughtful consideration of the whole person) and culturally sensitive. My approach is eclectic and determined by individual client needs. I will primarily utilize evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems therapy.
We all need someone with whom we can share our victories and achievements, as well as the challenges life, can sometimes present. Seeking assistance in an effort to sort out and make sense of one’s private life, relationships, and emotions is a personal strength and an INVESTMENT in YOURSELF…the very best investment there is!
Welcome to SELF-DISCOVERY!

A wonderful individual with incredible insight into what makes folks tick, AnnaMarie was forward and direct from day one. She was always patient, understanding, and compassionate but also firm and to the point, which felt like one of the defining attributes of her counseling style. In each 45 minute session she masterfully guided us through whatever issues we had been experiencing from the last week, while highlighting what we could improve upon and helping us to better understand one another. If you are looking for a counselor who will shelter or pamper you, she is not it. If, however you are looking to make real progress, and to learn to better understand your partner and grow together with them, we could not recommend her highly enough!
AnnaMarie is a great counselor! She’s fun to talk with and helps you work through problems. Highly recommended.
AnnaMarie was straightforward and to the point while also being compassionate and warm. We gained a lot of knowledge and skills that we can use in all aspects of our lives. We were so fortunate to have been matched with her and gained so much from our experience working with her.
After only a few sessions with AnnaMarie, I’ve grown a great fondness for her. She’s easy to talk to and straight forward about our situation and our problems. There is no beating around the bush, and no judgement on her end. I’m confident that with her help, my partner and I will have better communication and stronger trust. I think we got lucky getting paired with AnnaMarie!
We have felt really lucky to get matched with AnnaMarie. After only a few appointments we had some really important breakthroughs with one another. She is kind but also very matter of fact, which is so great for us. Highly recommend.
