About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). I have been serving individuals, couples and families with mental health and substance use issues for over 25 years. (As they say, I've been around the block a few times.) I have worked with individuals of varying ages, from a variety of cultural and ethnic origins, and social sectors. Some of the issues people have struggled with include: depression and anxiety, grieve and loss, trauma, relationship concerns, self-esteem and confidence issues, career and academic challenges, family of origin and parenting issues, gender identify, bullying, as well as concerns about substance use.
I am intuitive and compassionate and practice active listening skills; listening without judgment. People do not need labels that are oft not helpful anyway. The strategies that I employ I pull from Client-Centered therapy, Solution-Based therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing.
Therapy does not need to be a life long venture. Most people, it seems, simply run into a bump in the road and benefit from another perspective. I believe it is the healthy ones who know they need some assistance and ask for help; it is the sick individuals that believe it is everyone else that needs to change.
I look forward to assisting anyone that wants to be heard and wants to empower themselves to make changes to enhance their well-being.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Anna Wheelock . We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.
Anna is great she listens, she guides and she advise. Anna offer material to help with understanding and you can also apply this information to every day life.
Anna gave the perfect guidance for my partner and I to navigate through a troubled time in our relationship. It felt like talking to an old friend that genuinely cared about both of us and our success together. Every session I had with her, I logged out having multiple "AH HA" moments. I highly recommend Anna, she will be our go to therapist in the future most definitely.
So far we enjoy working with Anna
She is a really great therapist who really listens and tries to understand you. I would definitely recommend her and would want her again as my therapist!
I like Anna a lot because she’s unbiased when it comes to my feelings. I came into it wondering why I did what I did as well as how I can get her back. She quickly shared that I need to work on my codependent behaviors and learn to let go. I believe doing so will help me see better. Thank you!
