Hi, my name is Angie and I'm a licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience in the field of psychology. I currently practice in the State of Texas but I am originally from Michigan. That was where I started out working in a residential treatment facility with children and adolescents. After that I worked in partial hospitalization program for adults, a domestic violence shelter and a community mental health center. I relocated to Texas 10 years ago and have had the opportunity to work in an adolescent partial hospitalization program, an Employee Assistance Program and currently I have a private practice. I have worked with children as young a 5 and adults in their 80's, doing individual, couples and family therapy.
I am empathetic and compassionate, believing that this is your journey and I am here to assist you as a partner. Therefore, I am first and foremost a person-center, solution-focused counselor. I received training in Cognitive Behavioral therapy by the Beck Institute and have additional training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy but believe in an eclectic approach to treatment using Psychotherapy, Existentialism and a Humanistic approach. My specializations are trauma, depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
I look forward to meeting and assisting you on your journey. Remember: the past is a place of reference, not residence. Let's look to the future together and find a path that will lead us to achieving your goals.

She tells it like it is. She doesn't beat around the bush. When you need to hear something she definitely says it. Great counselor!
Angie is absolutely the best. Life saver!! Thanks for all the help.
Angie is responsive and engaging with clients.
Even after only two weeks, Angie has made me and my partner feel very comfortable and heard. We prefer the video sessions, and Angie is very available, and always assures us that she is willing to be flexible if necessary since we have a non-traditional schedule. I'm not the biggest fan of counseling or therapy, so I went in pretty skeptical and with limited expectations, but Angie has surpassed them by far. My partner thanks me for finding this platform and her after each session. Things are going really good, and Angie has us both feeling empowered and flexible, able to work through anything. I like her practical approach, she gives all parties equal respect and consideration, and she is very good at establishing a relaxed, low-pressure atmosphere. Things have never felt hostile or accusatory. I'm pretty impressed.
She creates an environment where you feel free to speak and offers insight to guide you through your thoughts.
Angie is a very supportive counselor. She helps me feel heard and understood.
Angie is very helpful and I think that she is excellent.
Angie is very nice and warm. She is also fair.
Angie is great to work with. She is compassionate and has a lot to offer. I am glad she's my therapist and I look forward to working with her from now on.
