Hello! My name is Angelica Simpson but you can call me Angie. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including coping with life changes, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, and coping with grief and loss. My approach involves using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and a structural approach. However, I will tailor my approach based on your need.
My background is in using a systems approach in helping resolve issues we may come across. I feel many of our issues arise due to interactions with others. Interactions are necessary in our world and yet they can be quite challenging. Poor interactions can create difficulties in other aspects of our lives which may make us feel that we are in a bad place to simply do our day to day tasks. Once we can work on our thoughts and behaviors that are causing stress, we can work towards better interactions and a greater outlook on those problematic issues.
