About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, with experience working with a diverse area of issues such as depression, anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, AD/HD as well as parenting related concerns. I have spent the past several years working with families with a foster or adoptive background, as well as providing guidance and training to parents in need of general parenting guidance. I also have significant experience working with individuals with a background of abuse and neglect.

I believe that at the heart of counseling is the therapeutic relationship, and my approach to counseling centers around this relationship being a place of safety and connection. My approach to counseling utilizes narrative therapy and combines cognitive-behavioral and existential approaches in order to help my clients examine their past in order to take control of their present and future. I personalize my conversations and dialogue in order to create an individualized treatment plan that best suits your needs.

I believe that arguably one of the most challenging paths to navigate in this world is that of marriage or any committed relationship. When couples add children into the mix, they add a beautiful and complicated difficulty and a new path to navigate. In my experience couples are all too often hesitant to begin the counseling process, for fear of judgment from others, or because they believe that seeking counseling means that something is intensely wrong with their relationship. I am here to tell you that this is not the case! Relationships often benefit from an unbiased third party who can empathically and non-judgementally listen and respond. The path to a healthier lifestyle, more open communication and a stronger relationship begins with a first step.

Often the first step is the hardest, and it takes courage to step forward in order to create change. If you are ready to connect, I am ready to walk with you! I look forward to getting to know you and being a part of your journey.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Andrew Rogers. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Regain might be different.

Written on Apr 15, 2021 after therapy with Andrew for 2 months on issues concerning relationship

Andrew has been very thoughtful and taken a lot of interest in helping out my partner and I. He has taken steps to get to know us and really cares about how our relationship is improving. In our sessions he always plans some talking points and exercises to help us both understand each other on a deeper level. It feels like he uses our sessions as a way to develop partnership with me and my partner. Truly an exceptional experience working with him.
