About me

I love working with couples. I have a private practice solely working with couples. Especially those experiencing the heartbreaking and devastating impacts of infidelity. When choosing a couples therapist you must pay close attention to your choice. It is important that the therapist be skilled and have the knowledge of the unique needs of the betrayed and the unique set of needs for the unfaithful. I have spent the past three years studying and working with this population.
I believe the most important component of good therapy is a collaborative relationship. It's important you feel a connection to your therapist. You must feel listened to and not feel judged, like your concerns are taken seriously. A good rapport from a knowledgeable therapist is key.
And that is what I have provided to my client's going into two decades of doing mental health work. I've worked with women through trauma and addiction. Moms struggling with anxiety and parenting. Younger people getting their education and needing support through transitions and life changes with crippling OCD. People with debilitating symptoms of bipolar disorder. A woman trying to find her way through understanding a personality disorder desperate to manage her symptoms and just get through the day.
I enjoy working with women who are exploring career options, starting a new business or expanding their reach as entrepreneurs.
I have extensive training and experience in addiction. I'm certified in harm reduction psychotherapy but also support abstinence whenever possible. It depends on each individual and their needs. I have a great deal of knowledge and experience with anxiety and depression as well.
The most important lesson I've learned over the years and the best advice I can give is this: lead the least secretive life you can. Shame and guilt will magnify your stress enormously. Suffering in silence is terrible. These types of problems don't get smaller. They usually get bigger left untreated. I encourage you whatever you are struggling with don't keep it in. Talk to someone. That someone could be me.

Amy is great. She is an excellent listener amd does not just repeat back what you say.

She offers practical advice on how to SOLVE some of the hard emotions and situations.

Very easy person to open up to.

No judgements, just practical guidance and compassion.

I have been to a few therapists in my life and I can honestly say that she is the best one I’ve had. Previous therapists have just done the same things every appointment but Amy always has something different each session but it always ends up getting to the root of our problems. Highly recommend her!
