We’ve really enjoyed working with Amanda on some specific issues we were having trouble solving on our own. She does a good job of representing the other point of view in a neutral manner and validating feelings.

I love speaking to Amanda, she really hears what I'm saying even though I tend to just throw ideas out there is a big jumble of words and emotions. She is very empathetic and also very realistic. She helps me see things from a more neutral point of view as opposed to what I see with my limited and often negative viewpoint. I really like when she emails me a summary of what we talked about, something I can go back to and reexamine my feelings, remember her suggestions and see how my feelings have or haven't changed from our last chat. We have only spoken 3 or 4 times so far but I feel she really understands my situation and how it is affecting me. Even though it's marriage counceling and she has heard my husband's concerns, I love that she is able to help me be happier with myself so I can ultimately be a better spouse for my husband.
