About Me

Welcome! Each of us needs some help at some point in our lives and it takes great courage to reach out for help. I believe that finding the right counselor for you is like finding the person you feel is like a trusted friend that offers a safe and non-judgmental environment. I strive to provide this for my clients so that they know their feelings are valid and heard.
I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston – Victoria (2002). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (2004) in the State of Texas and have been practicing since that time. When working with couples, first and foremost, we begin by working on communication. Learning to communicate as a couple, including reflective listening, is the key to working through any issue. I also have experience working with addictions and their effect on families.
My counseling style is warm and client centered by empowering you, with guidance, to make positive choices for your life and making the changes that will make your life successful. After all the years of counseling experience, my greatest joy is seeing my clients recognize their own strengths and benefit from our time together.
I look forward to working with you.

She has been helping together and individually. Due to circumstances we have had more individual sessions than as a couple, but in this time she has helped me explore and address my key issues.

Alyce is very helpful and gave us a fun activity worksheet game to help us learn about each other. Very respectful and considerate towards both people in the relationship.
