About Me

I am dual-licensed in Mental Health & Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy in Florida. Also, I am a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP). I have 18 years of experience providing counseling to patients and families in individual and group sessions. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, substance use disorder, and comorbid disorders.

My counseling style is caring, interactive and pro-active. I believe in treating anyone with respect and compassion. My therapeutic approach is eclectic; it combines different modalities and philosophies to fit the need of the person receiving counseling. I believe in mutual collaboration between the patient and the therapist when developing and setting treatment goals.

Please note that I prefer video conferences when doing any therapeutic process. I am most effective when I can see your expressions and capture your feelings, reactions, and cognitive process. This will help me gain a better understanding of what is happening and how I can help you. Between one live session to the other, which could range from 30 to 45 minutes, I can provide some support or reply to questions via messages. I do several therapeutic exercises with couples to help them improve their communication and understanding of each other. Sometimes, I model how to say things in different ways. For that reason, I need to observe the session, to guide you through that process.

My schedule is changing as I am transitioning from part-time to full-time online counseling. My schedule starting 10/17/21 will be from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursdays. Fridays vary but most sessions are from 7:30 am through 3 pm. I have some Saturdays sessions available from 8-11 am. I am off one Saturday a month.

I look forward to working with you!

Aimee is absolutely incredible and was a complete joy to work with. We really feel that she has given us a great basis necessary to improve our marriage and communication skills. The only reason we had to cancel our subscription is due to my husband going back into the office and scheduling being limited. We hope to rejoin with Aimee in the very near future

Aimee is very intuitive and has an easy way about her. She is proactive in her approach, and insightful… employing relatable life events and understandable metaphors to emphasize her perceptions, ideas, and input. We are taking positive steps together based on our sessions with her.
