My philosophy on Mental Health and Wellness
My philosophy on mental health and wellness has evolved over my career working in both medical settings dealing with physical health issues and mental health settings addressing the mental and emotional health issues of clients. My approach in counseling is to focus on solutions and help clients to identify realistic goals and strategies based on their individual strengths. I approach health from the standpoint of making the most of any situation or circumstance. We are not defined by a past experience, a diagnosis, or any one issue in our life. By focusing on the steps that one can take to maximize their health and well-being, they will discover the power that they have to create a life of wellness. Our health is a result of the things that we do on a consistent basis so even small healthy habits have done consistently can have a positive impact on our sense of well-being.
