Christy Booze is a social worker who has been provided with the amazing opportunity to provide counseling services to all different populations. She has worked with clients of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She started her career in a residential facility for adolescents with behavioral issues, and eventually branched out to day programs and intensive in-home therapy. Some of the challenges that her clients have faced in the past include depression, anxiety, familial conflict, parenting difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, and substance use. Christy has also worked with people who seek to simply gain knowledge of coping skills and ways to experience life to the best of their abilities.

Mental wellness is something that is not taught in school, and it's not something that we generally learn at the dinner table. In fact, it has only been in recent years that the importance of mental health and wellness has become something that people feel open and comfortable discussing. While a very important key to mental wellness is self-care and the utilization of coping and grounding skills, cognitive processing is also a critical element of improving our moods and ability to enjoy life to the best of our abilities. We cannot really control every aspect that happens in our lives, and this is a very scary fact to many people.
