“My Philosophy on Mental Health & Wellness”

As someone who has dealt with multiple mental health struggles, including postpartum depression and panic disorder as well as ADHD, I believe it’s vital to spread awareness and information regarding these issues. It can be easy to forget that mental health is just as important to maintain as physical health. For too long those suffering stayed silent or were told to just “get over it.” The more knowledge and awareness of the root causes, symptoms, and treatments of mental illnesses of all varieties spreads, the better off we’ll be as a society.

Managing a mental illness is extremely difficult to do on your own. Unfortunately, sometimes it can be hard to find support when you need it most, and not everyone has a solid support system in their lives. In my darkest times, I didn’t have anyone I could reach out to. That’s why it’s so important for me to do what I can to help others dealing with similar issues. Online therapy makes reaching out accessible and affordable, removing two barriers that can so often hold people back from seeking the treatment they need.
